Powder is the protagonist of industry

Powder is solid in that it retains its shape by particle interactions and strongly resists  external forces, but on the other hand, it is fluid in terms of easily deforming and flowing, and it can be said that it is a material form independent of solids and fluids.

Powders are used as raw materials and intermediate products in a wide range of industrial products, or they can be end products. Therefore, it plays as a secret protagonist of  industry. 

However, the interaction of a large number of particles determines the aggregate characteristics of powders, making it very difficult to handle them theoretically.  Therefore, many rules of thumb and intuition are also important factors in powder related technology.

 

Based on the various experiences and knowledge I have cultivated in terms of powder technology,  we founded Powder Consulting with the desire to help the members of manufacturing, research and development fields that have been troubled in this field not only in Japan but also in Asian countries.

Personal history and experience

1952 born in Gifu Pref.
1975 Bachelor degree in nuclear engineering , Nagoya university, start to work
     in chemical company

Major achievement (related to powder )

(1)  Process design of the crystal deposition process of amino acids, quality improvement (2) R and D

      of graphite  ultrafine powder using atmosphere control grinding process

(3)  Development of inorganic and organic surface treatment process to titanium oxide, and

      development of high concentration masterbatch products for resin coated paper  

(4)  Development and commercialization of apatite surface treatment process for titanium oxide as

      photocatalysts

(5)  Development of cerium oxide slurry for glass substrate polishing

(6)  Promotion of CMP slurry development project for STI and Cu process


International experience 

(1)  Cooperated job with companies in China and Europe in relation to titanium oxide and cerium 

      oxide

(2)  Conducted multiple customer support projects in Europe, USA, Taiwan, and South Korea in

      relation to CMP

(3)  Established a local subsidiary in Taiwan and managed for five years
